My Garlic Cheesy Bread

This is my favorite way to make my garlic cheesy bread. I have made this for many people that told me to patent the recipe and after long consideration  have decided to share it with everyone. You will need:
Step one take butter out and bring to room temp this will take several hours. Step two slice  garlic into desired size, place on sheet of foil, on baking or roasting pan. Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil and sprinkle with salt. Fold over foil to create a pouch like design, put into preheated 400 degree oven until golden soft. This will be right around the time you start smelling garlic radiating from the oven. Remove from oven, let it cool until you are able to handle the foil. Place room temperature butter in a mixing bowl and season with herbs. Poor roasted garlic slices and all the oil that will come off into over the butter that you put in a mixing bowl in the previous step, mix with fork.
Cut loaves in half lengthwise, depending on the size of your baking sheet you should be able to fit at least two of the halves on the baking sheet at a time. Spread a generous amount of  garlic butter mix on each half. Put baking sheet with garlic buttered bread into 400 degree oven for about five minutes or until butter has melted into the bread and edges just barely start to brown. Remove from oven place on another tray or use a second baking sheet, but cook all of the french bread loaf halves before adding cheese. Once you have done this turn your oven to broil or custom broil if you have the option. Top the halves with a heap of cheese about 1-2in high or 8 oz of cheese per half, I use mozzarella or Monterey jack cheese. Sometimes I mix them, but you can use your favorite cheese that just as long as it is a cheese that melts well. Put the loaves under the broiler and watch closely, when the cheese is melted and bubbly it's done. Remove from oven let cool and cut into desired size slices. This makes a great snack, but it's best use is to serve it with most pasta dishes. It is also great with other meals, try it out and let me know.
If you have any questions or problems let me know, I will and pictures the next time I make this.

Cherry Cola Fried Rice

I know that I normally take a lot of time to write my posts but not so much tonight. So this dish is d-lish so all you need for this one is:
  • Frying pan or skillet
  • Butter
  • Minute rice
  • Chill brand Cherry Cola it works better than all the other cherry colas for some reason
So step one heat your pan and butter, it's ready when butter starts bubbling not boiling, but similar. Put desired amount of uncooked minute rice into the pan ( keep in mind that the rice will almost double in size). Once rice has a light golden brown look to it add the cherry cola, now how much depends on how much rice you put in. Well that it for this one you can any other seasonings you want to it I usually kick the heat way up with this dish using a homemade hot sauce but you'll have to wait for that one. See you all later.

Appetizer Bacon Wraps

This is a simple, easy to make, and very delicious. I usually make my bacon wraps around Thanksgiving and Christmas. Although I do make them every now and again just because they are good. Unfortunately I haven't made any in awhile so I don't have any pictures to add, sorry about that. So supplies you will need:
The ingredients that you will need are:
  • good thick cut smoked bacon
  • water chestnuts
  • honey
  • cherry juice
  • liquid smoke
  • ketchup
  • light brown sugar (optional)
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F depending on stove temperature may need slight adjustment. Cut bacon strips in half and depending on the size of the water chestnut it needs to be cut to fit the bacon, if the water chestnut is too big it will fall apart. If they bacon slices are too big the bacon won't cook all the way. At this point I would highly recommend that you cut one slice of bacon in half and then size up one of the water chestnuts so that you get a feel for the size they need to be and how it will go together. After you have done that, if you chose to do that step cut all of the bacon and water chestnuts to size and begin to assemble them by wrapping the bacon around the water chestnut and inserting the toothpick into it so that it will stand straight up on the baking sheet. Put the baking sheet in the oven and check on every ten minutes or so. While the wraps are baking get your bowl and the rest of your ingredients and mix together roughly 2 cups ketchup , 1/2 cup of honey and brown sugar or 1 cup or either, 2 tsp liquid smoke, and about a quarter cup of cherry juice. Whisk together all the ingredients until it is smooth, glossy and  about the consistency of honey a little thicker is also okay too. From this point taste the sauce and adjust to taste as well as adding any other desired ingredients. I recommend trying it this way before adding other ingredients. After the wraps have fully cooked, remove from oven and use tongs to remove each wrap and dip in sauce until thoroughly coated in sauce. Return wraps to pan directly after dipping each one and bake 5 minutes longer. At this point you can either let cool and enjoy or dip a second time and then let cool and enjoy depending on how much sauce you like, if you like your food light on the sauce then simply let cool and enjoy. If you remove wraps by the inserted toothpick they will keep the quality appearance if you use the tongs to remove them the sauce is likely to smear and the wraps will lose the quality appearance. Well I hope you all enjoy this delicious little appetizer I know I do. If you have any question or problems with this recipe please leave me a comment and I will respond promptly I do check my blog daily. Thank you and enjoy.
